Registered Nurse lost her license and challenged the decision in a petition for writ of administrative mandate under CCP §1094.5. The Board of Registered Nursing demurred, and the trial court dismissed because the petition was untimely. On appeal, the nurse contends she did not learn of the revocation until after the period for filing the petition had expired. The appellate court affirmed, noting “our Legislature has established strict time deadlines for challenges to administrative decisions, which the courts have a duty to enforce. Because Hansen did not meet those deadlines, she is not entitled to relief.” Hansen v. Board of Registered Nursing (Cal. App. Fourth Dist., Div. 1; August 16, 2012) 208 Cal.App.4th 664.
