Petitioner, who hails from New Jersey, provides marijuana to the sick from a Rastafarian temple and operates a medical marijuana dispensary in Los Angeles. As a cult figure, he is known as NJweedman and operates a website called NJweedman.com. On the site, he calls upon jurists to acquit him on pending criminal charges. He petitioned the trial court to change his name to NJweedman.com and the court refused. The appellate court affirmed, noting a person is free to change names so long as the purpose is not to defraud or confuse. The court said Petitioner could lose his proprietary interest in the website at any time by failing to pay fees, or breaching the registration agreement. In re: Forchion (Cal.
